    Flexibore® is a flexible riser designed and manufactured to replace the old-fashioned and cumbersome rigid pipe systems. The flexible layflat hose is fabricated by integrating thermoplastic polyurethane into a woven textile fabric of high-tenacity polyester. This unique process gives the hose flexibility for ease in both installation and retrieval, as well as strength for sustaining the weight of a submersible pump. Flexibore® is produced in the 100, 250, 300 and 400 series and is offered in a variety of diameters and lengths to accommodate all our customers’ diverse needs.

    Iron bacteria and other mineral build-up in rigid-pipe systems cause increased power consumption and expensive pumping costs. The swelling nature of Flexibore® does not allow the internal build-up of minerals, thereby preserving efficient flow rates. With its long life and unique characteristics, running costs are reduced. Crusader Hose is the proud manufacturer and supplier of Flexibore® and offers a 12-month warranty for the 100 series and a 5-year pro-rata warranty for the 250, 300 and 400 series.

    How is Flexibore® Installed

    Flexibore®, the flexible riser, can be installed in one of three ways: crane assisted, vehicle assisted or hand assisted. The installation method will depend on the bore depth, access space and pump weight. Flexibore® is first attached to the pump with patented couplings, then the power cable is secured along its length before it’s lowered into the bore using a rolling wheel or crane. This method ensures simple installation and retrieval. The Flexibore® hose has continuous length, making it easy to handle.
